1949'da kendi radyo programlarını yaptılar: The Martin and Lewis show. bu popüler şov 30 dakikaydı ve ilk önce NBC Radyosu'nda yayınlandı.

"Martin and Lewis Show" 17 Temmuz 1950'de "The Colgate Comedy Hour" ile birleşti. ve 10 başarılı yıla 16 film sığdırdılar.

Aynı zamanda söylediği birçok şarkı 1995 yılında ölene kadar liste başı oldu. bu şarkıların başında "i'll always love you", "if", "when you're smiling", "oh marie", "i'd cry like a baby", "sway", "memories are made of this", "that s amore" gelmektedir.

Altmışların başında en tanınmış king of las vegas, beatles gruplarını "every body loves somebody sometime" şarkısı ile geçen dean artık çok ünlüydü.

16 Eylül 1965 tarihinde saat 22:00'de NBC kanalında sunduğu the Dean Martin Show 1965-1966 sezonunun en çok reyting alan programı oldu, yaptığı programda bölüm başına 40.000 $ alıyordu. televizyon izleyicileri dean'i seviyorlardı ve onu hiç bıkmadan izliyorlardı. Dean Martin program yapmaya devam etti.

DEAN MARTIN Empty You Must Have Been A Beautiful Baby

Mesaj  Admin C.tesi Mayıs 02, 2009 3:19 pm

Taken from what I believe is a 1961 episode of The Judy Garland Show (though I could be mistaken), Mr. Dino Crochetti sings 'You Must Have Been a Beautiful Baby.'

DEAN MARTIN Empty WELCOME TO MY WORLD VE DİĞERLERİ

Mesaj  Admin C.tesi Mayıs 02, 2009 3:31 pm

3.
WELCOME TO MY WORLD
(Ray Winkler - John Hathcock)
« © '61 Tree Publishing, BMI »

Welcome to my world won't you come on in
Miracles I guess still happen now and then
Step into my heart and leave your cares behind
Welcome to my world built with you in mind

Knock and the door will open seek and you will find
Ask and you'll be given the key to this world of mine
I'll be waiting here with my arms unfurled
Waiting just for you welcome to my world
(Waiting just for you) welcome to my world

By the summer of 1965, the formula arranger Ernie Freeman and producer Jimmy Bowen used to come up with hits for Dean Martin starting with "Everybody Loves Somebody" a year earlier — piano triplets, a 4/4 beat, swooping strings, a female chorus — had become so obvious that even the unsigned liner notes to his new album, named after his most recent hit, (Remember Me) I'm the One Who Loves You, referred to it as "the Formula." In fact, however, Bowen and Freeman were moving beyond the formula by this time, having developed for Martin what those same notes called "an updated pop-country sound." With the hits still coming ("Remember Me" was his fifth straight Top 40 entry), Martin was willing to let them do what they liked, and the team looked around for current material suitable to the singer and chose Roger Miller's "King of the Road," Jewel Akens' "The Birds and the Bees," and "Red Roses for a Blue Lady," the old Vaughn Monroe hit recently revived by Vic Dana. They also picked good vintage country and countrypolitan songs like Jim Reeves' "Welcome to My World," Ray Price's "My Shoes Keep Walking Back to You," Leroy Van Dyke's "Walk on By" (not to be confused with the Bacharach/David song that had been a hit for Dionne Warwick in 1964), Hank Williams' "Take These Chains From My Heart," and Dottie West's "Here Comes My Baby." Martin was fortunate to have a producer with such a broad knowledge of pop and country music and a sense of what would work for him. The country market never bit at these records, but Martin had a clutch of material that sounded fresh to pop fans. And, the liner notes notwithstanding, Bowen and Freeman knew that the time had come to vary the formula.

(Stuart Hamblen)
« © '49 Anne Rachel Music, ASCAP / Hamblen Music, ASCAP »

When you're all alone and blue no one to tell your troubles to
Remember me I'm the one who loves you
When this world has turned you down and not a true friend can be found
Remember me I'm the one who loves you

And through all kinds of weather you'll find I'll never change
Through the sunshine and the shadows I'll always be the same
We're together right or wrong where you go I'll tag along
Remember me I'm the one who loves you

(And through all kinds of weather you'll find I'll never change)
Through the sunshine and the shadows I'll always be the same
(Remember me)
We're together right or wrong where you go I'll tag along
Remember me I'm the one who loves you

BIRDS AND THE BEES
(Herb Newman)
« © '65 Pattern Music, ASCAP / MCA Music, ASCAP »

Let me tell you bout the birds the bees and the flowers and the trees
And the moon up above and a thing called love
Let me tell you bout the stars in the sky a girl and a guy
And the way they could kiss on a night like this

When I look into your big brown eyes it's so very plain to see
That it's time you learned about the facts of life startin' from A to Z
Let me tell you bout the birds and the bees the flowers and the trees
The moon up above and a thing called love
[ horns ]
When I look into your big brown eyes...

Let me tell you bout the birds the bees and the flowers and the trees
The stars in the sky a girl and a guy
The birds the bees and the flowers and the trees
The stars in the sky a girl and a guy

I DON'T THINK YOU LOVE ME ANYMORE
(Don Lanier - Tom Thacker)
« © '65 Dundee Music, BMI »

You don't smile like you used to smile
You don't laugh like you used to laugh
You're trying to pretend but what for
I don't think you love me anymore

You don't kiss like you kissed me before
The spark of love isn't there anymore
I love you everyday but what for
I don't think you love me anymore

You made a fool of me you're mean to me
It's plain to see you don't love me anymore

Your loving touch isn't there anymore
You don't care like you cared before
So darling what am I waiting for
I don't think you love me anymore

You made a fool of me you're mean to me
It's plain to see you don't love me anymore
You made a fool of me you're mean to me
It's plain to see you don't love me anymore

MY SHOES KEEP WALKING BACK TO YOU
(Bob Wills - Lee Ross)
« © '56 Chappell & Co, ASCAP / Unichappell Music, BMI »

I must say that I don't care hold my head up in the air
Even tell my friends I'm glad you don't call
But when the day is through my heartache starts anew
And that's when I miss you most of all

And my arms keep reaching for you my eyes keep searching for you
My lips keep calling for you and my shoes keep walking back to you
[ horns ]
No matter how much I pretend I wish I had you back again
For nothing else means half as much as you
My world just seemed to die the day you said goodbye
And I can't forget no matter what I do

And my arms keep reaching for you...

BORN TO LOSE
(Frankie Brown)
« © '43 Peer International, BMI »

(Born to lose and now I'm losing you)

Born to lose I've lived my life in vain
Every dream has only brought me pain
All my life I've always been so blue
Born to lose and now I'm losing you

Born to lose it seems so hard to bear
How I long to always have you there
You've grown tired and now you say we're through
Born to lose and now I'm losing you
Born to lose and now I'm losing you

KING OF THE ROAD
(Roger Miller)
« © '64 Tree Publishing, BMI »

Trailer for sale or rent rooms to left fifty cents
No phone no pool no pets ain't got no cigarettes
But two hours of pushing broom buys a eight by twelve four bit room
I'm a man of means by no means king of the road

Third bocxcar midnight train destination Bangor Maine
Old worn out suit and shoes don't pay no union dues
I smoke old stogies I have found short but not too big around
I'm a man of means by no means king of the road

Every engineer on every train
And all of the children and all of their names
(And every hand-out in every town)
Every lock that ain't locked when no one's around

I sing trailer for sale or rent...
King of the road king of the road

TAKE THESE CHAINS FROM MY HEART
(Fred Rose - Hy Heath)
« © '52 Milene Music, ASCAP »

Take these chains from my heart and set me free
You've grown cold and no longer care for me
All my faith in you is gone but my heartaches linger on
Take these chains from my heart and set me free

Give my heart just a word of sympathy
Be as fair to my heart as you can be
Then if you no longer care for the love that's beatin' there
Take these chains from my heart and set me free

(Take these chains from my heart and set me free
You've grown cold and no longer care for me)
All my faith in you is gone for the heartaches linger on
Take these chains from my heart and set me free
Take these chains from my heart and set me free

WALK ON BY
(Kendall Hayes)
« © '61 ATV Songs, BMI »

If I see you tomorrow on some street in town
Pardon me if I don't say hello
I belong to another it wouldn't look so good
To know someone I'm not supposed to know

Just walk on by wait on the corner
I love you but we're strangers when we meet
Just walk on by wait on the corner
I love you but we're strangers when we meet

In a dimly lit corner in a place outside of town
Tonight we'll try to say goodbye again
But I know it's not over I'll call tomorrow night
I can't let you go so why pretend

Just walk on by wait on the corner...

« © '53 Acuff-Rose Music, BMI »

Got an old slauch hat got my roll on my shoulder
I'm as free as the breeze and I'll do as I please
Just a bummin' around

Got a million friends don't feel any older
I got nothing to lose not even the blues
Just a bummin' around

Whenever worries start to bothering me
I grab my coat old slauch hat hit the trail again you see

I ain't got a dime don't care where I'm goin'
Well I'm as free as the breeze and I'll do as I please
Just a bummin' around

(Sid Tepper - Roy C. Bennett)
« © '48 Anne Rachel Music, ASCAP / Sis'n Bro Music, ASCAP »

I want some red roses for a blue lady
Mr Florist take my order please
We had a silly quarrel the other day
I hope these pretty flowers take the blues away

I want some red roses for a blue lady
Send them to the sweetest gal in town
And if they do the trick I'll hurry back and pick
Your best white orchids for her wedding gown

(I want some red roses for a blue lady)
[ horns ]
We had a silly quarrel the other day
I hope these pretty flowers take the blues away

I want some red roses for a blue lady...
Your best white orchids for her wedding gown
