After winning two premiers prix à l’unanimitéat the Paris Conservatoire in the classes of Dominique Merlet and Christian Ivaldi (in 1991), Hélène Couvert was invited by Leon Fleisher to become an artist in residence at the prestigious Theo Lieven International Piano Foundation on Lake Como. Here she benefited from the advice of the finest artists, among them Fleisher himself, Andreas Staier, Dimitri Bashkirov,and Alicia de Larrocha.


Since she was invited to appear at the Folles Journées devoted to Bach in Lisbon in 2000, she has been a regular guest at the Festival of La Roque d’Anthéron, and played in Rotterdam, at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, at Flagey (Brussels), at Les Flâneries de Reims, Les Serres d’Auteuil, and the Sceaux Festival, both as solo recitalist and in chamber music (with Juliette Hurel, Henri Demarquette, François Frédéric Guy, and the Quatuor Renoir). She has appeared in concertos with the Orchestre de Chambre d’Auvergne (under Arie van Beek), and gave the Spanish premiere of Ahmed Essyad’s Cycle de l’eauin Valencia,conducted by the composer.
